Secret Kepper
But what kind of secrets?
The ocean is inherently enigmatic, like our brains; it holds so much to discover, so many secrets in both. Sometimes we can’t help ourselves, wanting to reveal it all, even when deep down we know some secrets should remain unknown.
The main concept I explore in this series is why we keep secrets: to build a connection? to protect ourselves? to create an illusion? Some secrets are worth the rise of dopamine, some even are worth the rise of cortisol, but some drag us into an endless ride of regret.
I find it nosy that our brain uses secrecy as a good bonding mechanism. I know we all have at least one secret we won’t tell anyone about, and that’s why I built you a little secret keeper. Don’t worry, I promise I won’t tell.
